Candy Corn

So I have wondered off of the blanket path temporarily.

I still have several blankets on the go, but amigurumi has become a new interest and skill.......

So I did this in one evening.

Now, after the arrival of eyes in the post this morning (and a trip on Edinburgh's brand new trams) I completed Cameron the Candy Corn.  Pattern bought on Etsy.

I have started another in my favourite blanket colours.

My first try at Tunisian crochet.  The purple is on a small wooden hook and then the red on a large metal hook.  Just trying it out and practising for now.  No immediate plans to use, but will definitely be making a blanket out of it eventually, for the car maybe.

The photos are wonky I know.  But you can see what I have been up to.  First attempt went well I thought.  There are things I need to get better at, and this was the first time I had attempted and used a magic loop.

Another baby blanket down.  Made exactly the same again.  Pale green as main colour with pastel blues and a purple in granny squares.  Very happy.

Now I have one to make for the man I love (a late Christmas pressie) and a few more gifts.

I have been very distracted however.  Amigurumi and Tunisian crochet have worked their way into my repertoire.  I am by no means an expert in either but I have caught their repective bugs.  I'll post some photos when I have something photo-worthy.  Early attempts have been....interesting shall we say.
